Report from GAA.ie
Allianz Football League Division II
Louth 0-13
Tyrone 2-13

Two goals, one in either half, extended Tyrone’s unbeaten run in the Allianz Football League Division II as they overcame Louth in Drogheda.
Goals from Peter Harte in the first half and Cathal McCarron midway through the second proved the difference as Mickey Harte’s men ran out comfortable winners in the end to go level at the top of the table.
It was Louth that raced into an early two point lead and looked to be up for this encounter but the Ulster side responded as Owen Mulligan and Martin Penrose were on hand to tie up the game.
The sides were tied at 0-4 to 0-4 when the opening goal of the game was scored. Young Peter Harte, who has impressed thus far in 2012, was on hand to finish off a well worked move to give the Red Hand County a nice cushion.
Both side exchanged further points but Louth might have been ahead only for John Devine, who pulled off two excellent saves, to keep Tyrone in the lead and send them in 1-07 to 0-06 at the break.
Things could have gotten better for Tyrone just after the restart when they were awarded a penalty but Peter Harte was unable to convert the spot kick for his second goal of the day.
But the game was made all but safe midway through the second half when a superb individual effort from Damian McCaul netted his side’s second goal of the game and put breathing space between the sides.
Any chance of a comeback from the home side was thwarted when Louth midfielder Paddy Keenan was sent off for his second yellow of the day and further points from McCarron, Mulligan and Mark Donnelly completed the victory.
