Tyrone will feature in All-Ireland juvenile 60×30 championship semi-finals this weekend against Connacht opposition in six different categories at two venues in the west.
There will be three matches taking place on Sunday in Castlebar, beginning at 12 noon, where Sean Kerr, Jack Campbell, Aaron Owens, Johnny Woods and Ryan Mullan will fly the Tyrone flag against the home county, Mayo.
Sean Kerr will be trying to reach yet another major final in a year when he has already secured national titles in every code of handball, while Johnny Woods and Ryan Mullan are attempting to repeat their 40×20 heroics from earlier this year as they bid to reach another All-Ireland under-16 doubles final, this time in the 60×30 court where they took the under-15 doubles honours twelve months ago.
Jack Campbell, recent one wall nationals winner and member of the official Ireland team for the forthcoming world championships, will team up with Aaron Owens in the under-15 doubles semi-final. Jack won the same title in 40×20 alongisde Pauric Mullin a few months back.
Meanwhile, over in Williamstown, county Galway, at the same time on Sunday, Tyrone will be represented by Elise McCrory, Aoife Kelly, Maeve McElduff, Gabhainn McCrystall and Pol Clarke against the champions of Connacht.
Pol and Gabhainn, All-Ireland minor doubles finalists in the 40×20 court earlier this year, will be hoping to make the under-17 doubles final in the bigger court and eventually go one step further than last year.
Elise McCrory meets Fiona Tully of Roscommon in what should be a cracking under-14 singles semi-final, while former 60×30 under-14 champions, Aoife and Maeve, will be fancied to qualify for another under-16 doubles final after taking the same title at 40×20 earlier this season.
