The Tyrone Referees and Match Advisors will hold their end of season Presentation night on Friday next 7th December in the An Creggan Centre, located between half way between Omagh and Cookstown. The proceedings get under way at 7.30pm. The various awards will be presented to Referees who officiated in the both Football & Hurling Finals throughout the 2018 season plus referees will receive their annual match fee expenses payments.
Over the past 3 years the Tyrone Referee’s have selected a local charity to which they donate the proceeds from their Fund Raising raffle. To date the Tyrone Referees have generated almost £1,000 to 3 Charities namely Marie Curie, The Alzheimer Society and the Suicide Awareness Charity Impact. Once again there will be a special raffle with numerous valuable prizes on offer. This year the chosen charity is Parkinsons NI.
All referees will be contacted by a member of the Referees Committee to confirm attendance. The meal will be served at 7,30pm so all those attending are asked to be present on time.
Speaking ahead of the Event the Tyrone Referee’s Administrator John Devlin stated a lot of effort has gone into organizing the night and it is only right and proper that the Referees of the County are afforded the rightful recognition they deserve after a long arduous season.
