The dates for the commencement of the New Referees Training courses have been confirmed.
All new Referees and those returning to take up Refereeing again are invited to undertake the
New Referees training which will entail two nights practical and theory plus a further online assessment part to be concluded by all new referees. The dates for the Courses are Wed 2nd and 9th Mar in the Tyrone Centre in Garvaghey starting at 7pm.
All Clubs who have nominated a new recruits are asked to ensure they are present on both nights in order the course is completed. The Course will be co-ordinated by the National tutors assigned by Croke Park.
Speaking ahead of the Training for New Referees, Tyrone Administrator Eugene Mc Connell stated we are delighted that up to 15 new recruits have been nominated and a lot of work has gone into our recent recruitment campaign and this has paid off with the biggest intake of potential new referees for some years. It is a very positive development and we hope with the New Pathways progression for New Referees we will see many of these recruits progress hopefully to both Provincial and National levels.
We are looking forward to this latest progression in helping to promote another avenue to keeping involved in GAA through refereeing.
