On Saturday 13th August in Darver, County Louth the Tyrone U17s participated in a National U17 Blitz. Tyrone was drawn in a group which contained Louth and Kildare.
Tyrone’s first game was against Louth which they won 0-10 to 0-4. In the second game against Kildare, Tyrone were comfortable winners on a score line of 2-11 to 0-3, this meant as group winners Tyrone would compete in the final against Offaly. The final game saw an excellent team performance from the Tyrone lads to run out easy winners on a score line of 3-17 to 1-2.
Tyrone’s overall team performance was excellent throughout the day with tremendous work rate and team play. A special mention should go to a number of players Sean Mc Kenna, Caolan Corr, Barry Potter and Mark Bradley for excellent individual performances.
