Players from the u12 School of Excellence took part in a blitz last Saturday at Garvaghey. It proved to be a successful blitz with 60 players taking part. The blitz was the conclusion to the 6 week regional programmes carried out from September. The afterschool programmes took place in Omagh, Strabane and Carrickmore.
So far, 120 players have taken part in the School of Excellence since August, which is a great development for Tyrone hurling.
In November, afterschool programmes will take place in Coalisland, Dungannon and Ballygawley areas.
