The Tyrone Under 21s have claimed a 12th Ulster Under 21 football championship with a 1-11 to 0-13 win over Donegal. It was nerve jangling at Celtic Park, an early goal from Conor Meyley though put Tyrone on course and they led throughout, holding off a Donegal fightback spearheaded by McBreaty and McFadden.
All the hard work led by a wonderful backroom team of former Tyrone captains paid off and the young side fully deserved the priase the big Tyrone support heaped on them, it was another historic night, perhaps the dawning of a new era even ! but for goalscorer Conor Meyler, manager Fergal Logan and first of all captain Kieran McGeary this was all about an Ulster title…………
