Woods and Mullan eyeing first ever All Ireland Minor Doubles title for Tyrone…
This Saturday in St. Coman’s, Roscommon, Johnny Woods and Ryan Mullan will team up against Clare in the All Ireland Minor Doubles Championship Final. While Johnny Woods became the third player ever from the County to win the All Ireland Minor Singles crown a fortnight ago, Woods and Mullan are entering the final in search of an historic first ever All Ireland Minor doubles triumph for the County. If winning the doubles this Saturday, Woods will also become the only Tyrone player ever to achieve the clean sweep in the prestigious 40×20 minor grade.
The duo were highly impressive in the Ulster success and against Meath in the All Ireland semi final. Having secured the All Ireland Under 16 doubles crown two years ago, Woods and Mullan, look to hold a favourites claim of negotiating this latest hurdle at the weekend. They will travel as part of the highly prestigious All Ireland Open doubles final programme in St. Coman’s, Roscommon, this Saturday at 2.30pm.

Tyrone GAA Celebration Nights
A Tyrone Juniors Presentation evening will take place at Beragh Red Knights GAA club on Wednesday 16th April at 7pm and will see presentation of certificates, medals and trophies to all players from Under 10 to Under 17 who competed in Tyrone Attic Stairs championships and for our Ulster and All Ireland winners. Special guest will for the evening will be All Ireland and World Senior Ladies Champion, Aisling Reilly (Antrim)
The Adult Presentation Buffet and Dance will also take place in Beragh Red Knights GAA club on Friday 9th May at 7.30pm. Tickets for the Adult Buffet and Dance are just £10 and are available from County officials. Special guests will include All Ireland and World Senior Ladies Champion, Aisling Reilly (Antrim) and last year’s US Pro Number 1, Charly Shanks (Armagh).
Wednesday 16th April, at Beragh Red Knights GAA club, 7pm: Tyrone Juniors Presentation Night (Under 10-Under17, FREE). Finger Buffet at 7.15pm.
Friday 9th May, at Beragh Red Knights GAA club, at 7.30pm: Tyrone GAA Handball Adult Buffet and Dance. (Tickets £10)
Irish Junior 40×20 Nationals Qualifiers on Sunday
There has been a very large entry in the upcoming Junior 40×20 Nationals and a full list of Qualifier rounds have been issued today for this Sunday 6th April. With those games less than 3 days away, all club officials and coaches are asked to ensure that players/parents are notified for their qualifying matches.
