Connollys of Moy Tyrone Championships set to commence

Representatives of the 2024 Connollys of Moy Tyrone football and hurling champions came together on Saturday morning to launch the 2025 championships.

The Tyrone championships, the most fiercely contested in Ireland, promise another thrilling season of action across both football and hurling in the county.

This year’s competitions will once again be broadcast live on Tyrone GAA TV, ensuring fans around the world can follow every moment of the action.

An extension to the partnership between Connollys of Moy and Tyrone GAA has also been announced bringing the sponsorship through until the 2029 championship.

This year, Connollys of Moy will also sponsor the Man of the Match award for each game recognising standout performances throughout the championships. This will be selected by the Tyrone GAA TV commentary team.

Vivion Connolly, Managing Director of Connollys of Moy, expressed his delight at the ongoing partnership with Tyrone GAA: “We are thrilled to continue our support for the Tyrone Senior Football and Hurling Championships. These competitions embody the passion, skill, and determination that define Gaelic games in Tyrone. That this year marks 20 years since the O’Nell Cup was last retained speaks volumes about the incredible competitiveness of these championships. We’re proud to play our part in celebrating the players and clubs who make it so special.”

Martin Sludden, Chairperson of Tyrone GAA, added: “The Tyrone Senior Championships are the pinnacle of club football and hurling in the county, and we’re excited to throw-in this coming weekend on what promises to be another unforgettable season. We are grateful to Vivion and Connollys of Moy for their support and for agreeing to extend their sponsorship through until the 2029 season.”

The championships will commence in the coming weeks, with fixtures and broadcast details available on the Tyrone GAA website and on social media channels.
