Níl ach seachtain amháin fágtha go dtí babhtaí tosaigh Scór na nÓg 2025, agus tá clubanna ag déanamh na n-ullmhúchán deireanach chun a bheith réidh don ardán.
With only one week to go until the first rounds of Scór na nÓg 2025, clubs are making final preparations to be ‘stage ready’.
Ba bhliain ar leith í anuraidh i stair Scór leis an chéad léiriú riamh i dteanga chomharthaíochta ar aithris speisialta scríofa faoi Chuimsiú sa CLG ó Chlub Aireagal Chiaráin. Tá go leor buaiteoirí Scór ag Aireagal Chiaráin, fiú curadh uile-Éireann Scór ina measc. I mbliana, cuirfidh go leor daoine dóchasacha tús lena dturas go dtí an Chraobh Uile-Éireann – agus tá súil againn go mbeidh cuid acu as Tír Eoghain!
Last year Scór in Tír Eoghain made history with the first ever signed performance of a specially penned recitation about Inclusion in the GAA from the Aireagal Chiaráin Club. Aireagal Chiaráin have many Scór winners, in fact All Ireland Scór champions in their midst. This year many hopefuls will begin the road to the All-Ireland and hopefully some of them will be from Tyrone!
All seven disciplines will be on show on our opening night in Caisleán na Deirge on Friday 3rd October with the Tráth na gCeist (quiz) taking place before the county final on 9th November 2025.
Clubs are asked to contact any member of the Fo Choiste Cultúir agus Teanga if they have any queries. Eamon Campbell, Doire Treasc, (Chairperson) Dónal Magee, Coill an Chlochair, (Secretary), Cliodhna Kerr, An Charraig Mhór, Colleen Mulrine, Eochair, Dearbhla Scallon, An Goirtín, David Tierney, An Ómaigh and Risteard Mac Daibhéid, Droim Rátha. It is not too late for your club to get involved. Clubs can enter as few as only one discipline and as many as seven.
The benefit for clubs participating in Scór is wide ranging – it affords young members the opportunity to represent their club, it builds confidence in their ability to perform, be part of a team, develops an understanding of our culture, enriches the depth of clubs/ club life and allows those who are not directly involved with field sports to find their place in the GAA. There are so many reasons why clubs should take that first step. Please reach out via email to irishcultureofficer.tyrone@gaa.ie (Club Secretary Email)
