Competition within Tyrone would continue as before with 3 adjudicators – when these are available – in each competition. Tráth na gCeist will also continue as before. The winner of the Tyrone County Final in Tráth na gCeist will proceed directly to the All Ireland Final in Sligo – there will be no corresponding competition at Ulster level. There will be scope to change this at the newly formed County Forum process (see below).
At Ulster level adjudications will be done by a single adjudicator. At Ulster Semi Finals the top two clubs in each semi-final will qualify for the Ulster Final. Ulster Champions will proceed to the All Ireland Finals in Sligo.A forum is to be set up in 2018 whereby counties (initially clubs) will have the opportunity to propose rule changes as was the case in the past with Scór Congress. This will enable clubs to make efforts to have one of the most contentious issues – single adjudicator changed back to three etc. Any successful proposals will require approval from Central Council at Croke Park. There will not be a return to the old Scór Congress.
There is to be a workshop for Léiriú/Aithriseoireacht/Scéalaíocht script writers held in Croke Park on Saturday 7th October at 10.30 am. Any club wishing to attend this workshop please contact any member of Coiste Cultúir agus Teanga. This workshop is more likely to suit Scór Sinsear as it will give clubs more time to apply any useful hints acquired on the day.
Details regarding Scór Sinsear will be published when they become available.
Tyrone Times and venues will be made know as soon as they have been arranged.
