- Kildress Wolfe Tones, 46, Loughdoo Road, Dungannon, BT70 2SP,
Kildress Wolfe Tones was founded in 1952, building on local St Mary’s, Red Hand and Shamrocks teams that preceded them as far back as 1891.
We are a fully integrated men’s/women’s Club, covering the totally rural Parish of Kildress, with Ballinascreen, Lissan (both Derry), Cookstown, The Rock, Pomeroy, Carrickmore and Greencastle as our GAA Club neighbours.
Our Club grounds host two full-size pitches (one with match-quality floodlights), a youth pitch/training area, community/activity space and a new, pioneering £1.50m Hub building completed in 2021.
As a Club we concentrate on football, with some Rounders, and also put significant effort into our cultural and heritage activities. Our Club crest reflects our Parish’s remarkable 6,000-year-old Beaghmore Stone Circles.
The Wolfe Tones have won six adult Tyrone Championships (Men: Intermediate in 1971 and 2011, Junior in 1966, 1994 and 2020 | Women: Junior B in 2012) and in 2022 our Girls made vital history for us by winning the All-Ireland Feile. Kildress players have also won All-Ireland Minor and Under 21 medals with Tyrone.
