ESB All Ireland Minor Football Semi Final

Tyrone 3-10 Mayo 0-16
Tyrone minor footballers are back in another All Ireland Final following a three point win over Mayo.  The westerners had led 0-3 to 0-0 in the early stages but Ronan O’Neill fired home a goal to help steady the nerves.  By half time Mayo had once again extended their advantage and led by 0-10 to 1-3.
Tyrone really needed a goal in the second half and they got it through Richard Donnelly in the 43rd minute.  It was followed five minutes later by a Dara Donnelly strike.  This seemed to stun Mayo and the Tyrone lads hung on after points from McCullagh, Tierney and O’Neill.
