Tyrone 2-11 v Derry 1-13
Derry raced into an early 5 point lead, but the Tyrone lads showed great character and didn’t panic. Two first half goals from Tyrone midfielder Conor Mc Aleer meant Tyrone lead at half-time by 5 points. Derry came out in the second half and clawed Tyrone back to two points. Derry were then awarded a penalty, but were denied by a great save from Tyrone keeper Paul O’Hagan. After that both teams exchanged scores, but Tyrone held on to win by a single point.
