Tyrone Camogie were delighted to celebrate McAleer and Rushe as the official jersey sponsors for the 2017 season. McAleer and Rushe, a Cookstown based company, are specialist design and build contractors, developers, asset managers and investors in multi sector, mixed used schemes. This support helped kick start the 2017 Camogie season which saw the senior team successfully competing in the Division 3 National League after a period of absence from the national competition.
The senior team were managed by Kieran Leadon with the assistance of Tommy Corr. Tyrone Camogie has under gone a few years of restructuring, this year saw the Under 14, Under 15, Under 16 and minor squads all successfully competing in Ulster and All Ireland Competitions. This development is continuing due to the hard work of the clubs, mentors, coaches, administrators and board members who dedicate their time to rebuilding Camogie in Tyrone.
Tyrone Camogie would like to thank Seamus Mc Aleer(Chairman) and Eamon Laverty (Chief Executive) for their kind support to Tyrone Camogie this year. We have been delighted to represent the company throughout Ireland in our National League and All Ireland competitions. We hope we can continue to grow and build upon this in the future and we would like to congratulate McAleer and Rushe on their 50th year in business and wish them all the best as they continue to grow throughout Ireland and the U.K.
We were delighted to have Sean and Dominic Darcy (son and brother of the late Pat Darcy) represented along with McAleerand Rush and the players. Pat Darcy, the Tyrone Camogie Chairperson, sadly passed away this year. This was a huge loss to the Tyrone Camogie Association and to Tyrone GAA. Pat had a great passion for camogie and he brought to the board a great wealth of knowledge, advice and guidance over the years.
Michael Quinn of Quinns Coach Hire sponsored receiving new tracksuits for the Tyrone Senior Camogie Team for their 2017 season. Quinns Coach Hire are main transport sponsor for all the Tyrone Camogie Teams through the year.
