Tyrone GAA Rolls Out its Planning Process Again

“The last plan brought us to here Michael. But there’s where we need to be looking to now!”
Members of Tyrone GAA’s next generation,  point out the way ahead to Tyrone County Chair Michael Kerr at the launch of the planning process for Tyrone GAA’s next strategic plan.
“We’re moving ahead on what will be Tyrone GAA’s fourth five-year plan” County Chair Michael Kerr explained as he launched the County’s strategic planning process.
“We take our planning seriously, just like we take our GAA seriously” he continued.
“If we just sit about and wait and see what happens, then we’re selling the GAA in our County very short. And that’s never acceptable.”
 
 
Tyrone’s first Plan was drawn up back in 2007 and among much else contained an Action to scope, plan and develop a County GAA Centre. What was visioned back then has long since become an on-the-ground reality at Garvaghey.
Whilst few plans anywhere ever deliver a flawless ‘100% implementation’, most of what was in that original pioneering document has been delivered. And it’s been the same for the two subsequent Plans.
“We’ll be running surveys and hosting workshops to feed into our plan over the next couple of months” Michael Kerr further explained.
“They won’t be burdensome but they are very important and we therefore need as many people as possible involved in the process. Tyrone expects – and deserves – a good input from everybody.”
