Tyrone are through to play Monaghan in the Shamrock Cup decider following a 2-14 to 0-16 win over Antrim U21s in Glenmornan this afternoon. The host County established an early 0-6 to 0-2 lead before the Antrim men ended the half on a high to leave the half time gap a single score lead for Tyrone 0-8 to 0-7.
Both sides rotated their benches in the second period as the game adopted a start- stop nature. However Tyrone were indebted to their subs for the goals that sent them to the decider as Dungannon’s Patrick Quinn and Edendork’s Harry Og Conlon hit the net in the second period as the Red Hands ran out winners 2-14 to 0-16.
